We've Been Busy!
A lot has happened since our last blog update, and we've been busy! Here's a quick recap of everything that's happened since the last blog post;
We've Moved!
While our last space was good, we needed more room to make our amazing 3D Printers. Business has been booming and we wanted to have the most space possible for production. This new space is conveniently located in the heart of Orlando near Sand Lake and Kirkman Blvd. Be sure to come by and see the DeltaMaker Factory and all the new things we're working on! Our new address is 7121 Grand National Drive, Orlando FL, 32819.
Maker Faire Orlando 2016
Maker Faire Orlando 2016 just passed on October 22nd and 23rd, and we were excited and happy to exhibit and sponsor during the event. With a lot of amazing 3D printers near us, we were surrounded by amazing people trying to do wonderful things with the printers and others who wanted to learn more on how to get involved in the 3D printing community. We were happy to be near all of these amazing people, and look forward to seeing them again throughout the year!
Our 3D Printers
We have two printers available for purchase! The DeltaMaker 2 3D Printer, and the DeltaMaker 2T 3D Printer. With different size printers, you have a variety of size options for your printing needs. All All production happens at the DeltaMaker Factory, mentioned above.
Instructional Support
We've been putting together instructional videos to help show the best way to work with your new DeltaMaker 3D Printer. Be sure to keep up to date on our website and blog posts for new videos coming soon. You can view the videos and help links we already have by visiting... Read more…
Creating a 3D Printed Mold- Part 1 Prepare The Print
What do you do when you need a custom mold and can't swing the outrageous fees to have one made? Do it yourself!
Recently, Kathryn from Sappho Chocolates in Ormond Beach, Florida reached out to us for help with her project for Maker Faire Orlando 2015. Kathryn wanted to build a mold to cast chocolate Maker Faire Robots. Due to the custom robot that Kathryn wanted, having a food safe mold created was cost prohibitive.
So how do you make a custom mold?
Step 1: First, collect your supplies
Here's what we used.
File for 3D Printer (We enlarged the Makey Robot to 10 inches)
XTC-3D High Performance 3D Print Coating
Alumilite Plat 25
Craft Wood
Glue Stick
Pam Cooking Spray
FrogTape Painter's Tape
Step 2: Print your object
Step 3: Smooth The Print
Paint object with XCT-3D coating. We used 2 coats on our Makey. This step helps to smooth out your object and will reduce or entirely eliminate the appearances of ridges. By smoothing out the printed object, you also smooth the mold and the casting. Smoothing out the model also help the molding agent to release easily once it's cured.
Step 4: Wait to Dry
Or use a blow dryer to speed up the process.
The next steps are to prepare and pour the mold. Step by step instructions coming soon!

December 2014- Recognitions and Reflections
Earlier this year, we shipped a DeltaMaker 3D printer to the fine folks at Make:Magazine for inclusion in their annual 3D printer shootout. Here is what they had to say about the DeltaMaker 3D printers.
The seamless integration of Octo-Print with preconfigured onboard Cura slicing is the first we've seen in a commercial machine our of the box, and something we'd like to see other vendors adopt and attribute.
Not only was DeltaMaker included in both the online and print versions of the magazine, we were awarded the Smart Software Integration award. The DeltaMaker printer was also recognized for being a turnkey solution to 3D printing.
This was such an incredible way to reflect on how far we have come in the last 12 months.

October has been filled with sharing of ideas and experiences.
We started the month with the second annual Orlando Mini Maker Faire on Saturday, October 5. This year, Orlando Mini Maker Faire partnered with the Orlando Science Center to produce an event where local makers could show off what they were making and share what they were learning. We interacted with over 3,000 attendees and saw some incredible projects and inventions!
On October 12 TEDxOrlando invited us to participate in their third annual event. The crowd of 300 included some of the most brilliant minds of our community and the talks were equally engaging.
Some of the ideas that were shared included a new concept for standardized testing, the power of a name, and a mother’s battle to change the world of pediatric cancer treatments.
We've got two incredible exhibition opportunities lined up for November! Check back soon for photos and a recap!
